Mr. Jesse Lee Broome was born December 29, 1938  in Morgan City,

Mississippi. He was born toMrs, Rachael Freddie Broome and Mr.

Roy Broome. Jesse confessed his life to Christ at an early age in

Morgan City Mississippi. He later moved to Memphis, Tennessee and

Married Doris Louise Matlock, and to this union were born nine

Children.

Jessie worked as a cook for many years and later as a construction

Worker until he retired. He was the type of person who enjoyed his

Independence and always said he did not ever want to be a burden to

anybody. He always told us to make sure that we could be able to

take care of ourselves, because he was not going to always he here, and

that this day was promised to everyone.

On June 25, 2019 while in the comfort of his home, surrounded by

Family, Jessie heard a voice calling him to come home. He listened and

Obeyed. He softly closed this chapter in the Book of Life, and went on

Home to celebrate his new life with our Lord.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Miss Quetta Broome, his

Mother, Mrs Freddie Rachael Powell, his father, Mr Roy Broome, his

Sister, Mrs Quetta Howard, and his grandson, Marcus Griggs.

He leaves to celebrate his life ; his wife of 70 years, Mrs Doris L.

Broome, eight children. Carolyn B Hightower, Jeanetta Boyd (Bobby),

Carl Broome, Dianna Ford (Frank), Paul Broome, Paulette Guy

(Hershey), Loretta Holt, Keith Broome (Sharon), 32 grandchildren, 72

Great grandchildren, one nephew, Rickey Turner, two sisters-in

Law, Gertrude Matlock, and Margaret Burgess, and two brothers-in

Law, Theotiis Matlock, and Heyman Matlock.
