Jesus Armando Avila, age 50, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.  He was born on July 24, 1971 to Guillermo Avila Lopez and Elpida Olivas Escalante.

Jesus loved eagles and collected them.  He was hard working and never gave up, even when he was fighting through cancer.  For him, his wife and kids always came first.  Jesus was the life of the party and he was always making everybody laugh with his jokes or dances.  He was a huge fan of baseball, and his favorite team was the Cardinals.  He had lots of friends and would always get along with anyone he met.

Jesus is survived by is wife, Francisca Carrillo Avila, daughter Leslie Amairani Avila, son Luis Armando Avila, brothers Jorge Quezada Avila, Jose Luis Avila, Jesus Avila, Guillermo Avila, Abraham Avila, Pascual Avila, and Teodulo Avila, sisters Luz Elena Avila, Teresa Avila, and Blanca Avila, and grandchildren Brandon Gael Guerrero, Nicole Eileen Guerro, and Adriel David Guerrero.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  The funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at St. Michael's (Miguel's) Catholic Church at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park East.
