Jettie Smith Stegall passed away September 16, 2016 at the age of 100 years and nine months. She is survived by five of her ten children: Donna Sue Foster, Annabelle Drzycimski (Bob), Brenda Stegall, Richard Stegall (Beth), and Jan Nunn (Sammy). Five children preceded her in death: Mary Lou Haltom (Joseph), William David (Bettye), Thomas Glenn, Bobby Jack (Deborah) and Nan Waterman (Chuck). "Granny", as she was fondly known, was a strong-willed and independent matriarch of a large family (100+ children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren) who serve as her legacy. It is fair to note that many descendents inherited her "scrappy" approach to life! Forest Hill Funeral Home, East, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133 is handling all arrangements. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service.
