Jewell “Paulette” Hampton, 83, of Appling, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on October 12, 2026.

Paulette was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 30, 1943, where she grew up and has lived most of her life in Georgia. Paulette was a special needs child who was always cared for by family. She enjoyed going to Church, Sunday School, and working in Vacation Bible School. She had a special place in her heart for her Pastors. She was always quick to hug them and tell them she loved them very much, in her own way. Paulette was unable to verbalize her words clearly, but those who knew her well knew when she expressed joy and love. Going to Disney World was a special time for her, and getting to interact with Disney characters brought her a pure joy. She especially loved spending time with her family and special needs friends.

Paulette is preceded in death by her parents, Jewell Dalton Hampton and Pauline Westmoreland Hampton and her sister, Mary Jane Hampton Garner (always called Boo Boo by Paulette). Her survivors include her brother-in-law, James Garner and her niece Jessica Garner.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service at West Acres Baptist Church, Evans, Georgia (date to be determined), and a Graveside Service will be held on October 21, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home Memorial Park East Cemetery, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, Tennessee.
