Obituary

Jim Mack Malone stepped into glory and face to face with Jesus on October 26, 2020, at the age of 90.
Jim was born on March 27, 1930, to Charlie and May Malone of Caruthersville, MO. He served his
country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After giving his life to Christ as a young adult,
he served his Lord by preaching the gospel and pastoring churches, including Fellowship Baptist Church
in Bartlett, TN, and Immanuel Baptist Church in Marion, AR. He loved and touched many lives through
his pastorates.
Jim married Nelda Ann O'Keane on January 26, 1955. They were married for 53 years. Jim and Nelda
had two children, Daniel Thomas and Sandra Ann. Jim was the full-time caretaker of Nelda when she
became ill. He never left her side and cared for her until her death in 2008.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years, Nelda, his second wife of 3 years, Mary
Malone, and seven of his siblings.
He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Maxine Arnold; son, Dan Malone (Lori) of Spring Hill, TN,
and daughter Sandy Brashier (Norman) of Spring Hill, TN; granddaughter Kristy Tubb (Larry) of Madison,
MS, grandson Danny Brashier (Rebekah) of Spring Hill, TN, grandson Michael Brashier (Ashley) of
Nashville, TN, and granddaughter Kayte Reed Malone of Gulf Shores, AL. He was very proud of his six
great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister, Nita McCoy, sister
Barbara Bryant, brother Larry Malone, and countless nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 29 from 5:00PM-7:00PM and Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on
Friday, October 30. Both will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home on Whitten Road in Memphis.
