Jimmie Carlton Cantrell, 84, of Hernando, MS, husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Mr. Cantrell leaves behind two sons: Jimmie Cantrell Jr. (Carol) of Horn Lake, MS and Russell Cantrell (Kimberly) of Jefferson, GA; four grandchildren: Lauren (Justin) Walton, Tyler Cantrell, Hunter Cantrell; and Logan Cantrell; three great-grandchildren: Matthew Walton, Kyle Walton, and Kinsley Walton. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nell M. Cantrell, a son Robert Cantrell, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Mr. Cantrell served in the United States Army from 1956- 1959. He retired from the City of Memphis Fire Department in 1988. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials are sent to the American Cancer Society.
