Jimmy Lee Childers of Horn Lake, MS was born in Memphis, TN on March 10, 1930 to Lee and Ruby Childers, and passed away on August 8, 2016 at the age of 86. He was a graduate of Ole Miss where he played basketball. Jimmy was a veteran of the Korean War, and retired from the US Army Corp of Engineers. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Janith Sue Fleming Childers; daughter, Myra Lee Coughlan; sons, Scott Childers (Shar) and Chris Childers (Melissa); sister, Virginia Carney; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 12 from 9-10 AM with a graveside service to follow at 10:00 AM, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park East, 2440 Whitten Rd.
