JIMMY LEE HERNDON, born September 6, 1937, went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2014. He owned and operated Herndon Electric for the past 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Posie and Edith Herndon, and sister, Annis Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Erma Herndon, and his three daughters, Mary Beth (Davis) Parker, Tina (Bruce) Starkey, and Brenda (Scotty) Lambert. He leaves five grandchildren, Nick (Jodi) Parker, Kayla (Cruz) Ingerson, Dalton and Bethany Starkey and Chandler Lambert, also one great-grandson, Gunnar Parker. Jimmy also leaves one sister, Jane Cowan of Ripley, MS. Jimmy was a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., with service at 12 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015, at Carriage Hills Baptist Church. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery South.
