Jimmy Ray McCoy, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, TN. He leaves behind three daughters, Stella Danice Crowe of Munford, TN, Jimmie Lee Laxton (Mark) of Covington, TN, Peggy Jo McCoy of Munford, TN; one son, William Clay McCoy (Anita) of Murray, KY; one sister, Vickie McCoy; three brothers, Marvin McCoy, Ronnie McCoy, Bobby McCoy; fifteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren and one on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, JC and Ernestine McCoy; his wife, Stella Louise McCoy; and three brothers, Dale McCoy, Jerry McCoy and Dennis McCoy.

Jimmy was a simple and laidback man who loved his family dearly. He retired from L&N Railroad after 43 years of service as an Engineer. In his free time he enjoyed going to Tunica, MS and West Memphis to play at the casinos, spending time with his kids and grandchildren and taking care of his two cats, Ru and Ollie.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1-2p.m. with funeral services starting at 2:00p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill East Cemetery 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133.
