Jo Lynn
Lampley
Mar 5, 1945 — Mar 8, 2019
Southaven
Mrs. Jo Lynn (McCaul) Hogue Lampley, born on March 5, 1945 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Jo McMillen and the late Forrest McCaul, passed away at age 74 on March 8, 2019 in Southaven, Mississippi surrounded by her loving family. She graduated from SouthSide High School in 1963. She was most recently in the Floral industry as a Floral Designer at Kroger in Horn Lake, Mississippi. But if you knew Jo, she was a woman with many talents. From sewing anything from bibs to wedding gowns, to cake baking and design of all levels, to floral design, drawing, painting, ceramics and plaster; there wasn't much this Super Woman couldn't do. She was front and center on all life levels with her children. From Brownie Leader to Girl Scouts to The Rainbow Girls she walked countless parades and made many sets and scenes along the way and sewed so many dresses and costumes of all occasions. She also lead the Praise Team at Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church. The life lessons and love she taught and showed to all who crossed her path can only be evidenced in the number of people who lovingly refer to her as "Momma Jo", "Aunt Jo" or simply as "Momma" whom were actually no blood relative at all.
Jo was the loving wife of Micheal Lampley. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Davis; and sisters, Joanne Greenlee and JoNell Casey. Jo is survived by her daughters, Lori Dahler (Roger), Shari Moore (William), Brandi Grant (Gary), and Angela Cotten (Fred); her son, Glenn Littleton (Brandi); stepson, Johnathan Lampley (Tabitha) ; stepdaughter, Melissa Milan (Randy); brother, Forrest McCaul, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Stuart, Shari Bauer, and Kay Chism; and grandchildren, Joey Davis, Justin Davis, Jeremy Davis, Brittany Dahler Logan, Brandon Dahler, Christie Moore, Howard Moore, Kaleigh Keel, Kadance Keel, Steven Croom, Courtney Croom, Preston Cotten, Zachary Cisowski, Brian Littleton, Logan Bargery, Lexie Hicks, Kayley Milan, Hannah Milan, Joseph Milan, Hunter Lampley, Wyatt Lampley, and Olivia Lampley; great grandchildren, Amberlyn and Willow Logan, Gabriel Dahler, Bryce and Toby Davis, Ryder and Carter Davis and Sawyer Davis, and McKinley King. And many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she simply adored. She was a longtime member and very active in her church, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, for over 50 years.
