Jo Ann Robertson Dent, passed away April 20th, 2022, peacefully with her loved ones just shy of 89 years of age at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, TN.

Born August 27,1933 in Carbondale, IL to Joseph William Robertson and Edith Mae Robertson. JoAnn went to grade school in Memphis, TN and graduated from Humes High School in Memphis, TN. After graduation, she went on to work at the Federal Reserve Bank where she retired as a clerical supervisor. She had many friends and was loved by all for her red hair and attitude to match it. She met her first husband Clifford Carter Cain and had 2 children, Ricky and Linda. She was also a widow to Melvin Dent and had 3 loving stepchildren with him.

Jo Ann or as most know her, Meme, was always the spicy redhead she looked like. She would show up to a party in leather with her beautiful fiery red hair to match her attitude knowing she was the best looking one there. You never knew what she was going to say but, you could always count on her to be honest. She had a good heart and always loved and gave to the fullest. She is survived by her children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, loved by all.

The memorial service for Meme will be held in Memphis TN at Forest Hill Home and Memorial Park off of Elvis Presley Blvd. on Monday April 25 ^th . The viewing will begin at 1:00 and the funeral will start at 2:00. All friends and family of Meme are welcome. We know that Meme was loved by many and hope that you can be there to celebrate her life with her family on this day.
