Joann Daniel Hines loving wife, mother and Nana passed away at the age of 88 on March 1, 2021 in Bartlett TN.
She was born on November 25, 1932 in Saulsbury TN to Gaston and Ruby Street Daniel. She married the love of her life Dr. Elbert Edwin Hines II on December 30, 1953. They raised two children together, Ed and Marjorie.
Joann had a passion for her church, family, friends and shopping! She loved her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. In later life, she found a love for dancing and for her special friend, Doug Morehead.
Joann was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, her father Gaston, her mother Ruby, and her two brothers, Thomas and Frank.
Joann is survived by her son Dr. Ed Hines III (Bettye) and her daughter Marjorie Parker (Robby). She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Daniel Tennison (Amy), Dr. Melissa Hines (Dr. Matt Lyons), Jessica Hines-Beard (Dillon Beard), Garrett Hines, Drew Tennison, Dr. Scott Parker, Dalton Tennison and Hunter Parker. She has five and a half great grandchildren.
She is survived as well by two brothers Tate and Freddie and 3 sisters Lucy, Shirley and Linda.
Joann will be laid to rest on March 19, 2021 in a private service at Forest Hill Home and Memorial Park East. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joann's name to Bartlett United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
