Joe Reid Nichols Jr. of Cordova, TN, passed away in Memphis, TN May 17, 2021 while at Baptist Memorial Hospital - East. Mr. Nichols attended Colonial Elementary and Colonial Junior High school. He graduated from Overton High School in 1967 and received his Bachelor of Science in Technology at Memphis State University in 1972.

Mr. Nichols served honorably in the Airforce and was discharged as a Sgt in September of 1979.

He worked as a residential draftsman ants nuclear medicine technologist, retiring after 31 years of service at regional one health (The Med) And was a faithful member of Audubon Park Baptist Church. He enjoyed automobiles, airplanes, drafting homes, wild west and World War II history, his moms cooking, traveling and Disney's goofy. He was a beloved Son, Brother, Father, Friend, Gentleman and had a very inquisitive mind

He was preceded in death by his father Joe Nichols Sr.

He is survived by his Mother; Amma Nichols, brother; Donald Ray Nichols  (Teresa) Daughter; Audrey Ragsdale (Justin) , Grand children; Houston, and Morgan.

Memorial contributions may be contributed to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

A visitation will be conducted on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 am - 12:00 PM and a graveside service will be conducted on Monday, May 24 at 2:00 PM at Forest Hill East, 2440 Whitten Rd. Memphis,TN
