John S. Abbott, 91, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 2, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Blanche V. Abbott; daughters, Sharon A. McGee and Marion M. Abbott; grandsons, Allen and Mark McGee; great-granddaughter, Shelby McGee and his faithful black lab, "Jack". Mr. Abbott was a WW II veteran and a Master Mason, 50 year member of the Bartlett Lodge #211. He was retired from Armour and Company after 41 years. Mr. Abbott never met a stranger, had an infectious smile and was a dedicated Christian family man. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2014 with services to follow at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Lewisburg United Methodist Church in Olive Branch, MS where he was a member or to the donor''s choice.
