John E Arwood, Sr, of Lake Cormorant, MS passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024.  Born August 16, 1949 in Memphis, TN, John leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Birdie Sue Arwood and their dog, Max.

John loved his Harley Davidsons and his family.  He enjoyed teaching the grandkids and great grandkids how to write their name at the barn while potty training.  He was preceded in death by his son, John E Arwood Jr (Joy) and daughter Wendy Bullinger. (Jeremy)  He leaves behind his daughters, Shannon Mize, Anita Brown (Brandon), Tabitha Smith (Billy), and Robert McCormick (Gina).  It does not stop there.  14 grandkids and 18 great grandkids with more due any minute.

John also leaves behind his older brother, Steve Arwood (Kathy) and his younger sister Patsy Goss (Jeff).

A man of many names, Husband, Brother, Daddy, Papa, Papa Johnny, Pa J.  He will be sorely missed by many.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 10 at Cedar Hill Farms in Hernando, MS from 6pm-8pm.  Please bring a small snapshot of your favorite memory to add to the celebration of life board.
