John "Gator " Brown,  age 64, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024. John was born August 10, 1960 the son of Louise Hendren Brown and James Brown of Memphis, Tennessee.  John retired a Bartlett Police Motors Officer. Through out his life he was also a radio personality, known to many as the "Real Al Steele" in the days of Rock 103, a professional fisherman, and well known small business owner in the city of Bartlett.

He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Brown. His sons: Jason Campbell (Randi) and Austin Brown. His Daughters: Bridget White (Adam), Jenna Carstensen Vega, Brittany Cryer (James) and Nicole Grimes (Scott). His sisters: Kris Anderson, Donna Atkinson- Doughty, Kerri Caparoon and Melinda Engler-Harshbarger. As well as his grandchildren, Christian & Ethan Campbell, Kaelyn, Jackson, Georgia & Samuel White, Brynlee & Bowden Vega, Aiden & Dylan Cryer and Homer Grimes.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 from 1:00-2:00p.m. Funeral Service will start at 2:00p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home East.
