John Dalton Davis 80 of Horn Lake, Ms. Passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2025 at Baptist Desoto.  He was born on June 29, 1944 in Galloway, Tn. He was the son of the late George Davis and Grace Johnson.

John was known for his sweet and kind nature which endured him to everyone who knew him. He never met a stranger. He found joy in driving his trucks across the country eating and socializing at his favorite restaurants: Waffle House or Country Skillet . He had a deep love for his service dog, Sawyer.

John is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Davis also, the mother of his children Betty Eddings. Sisters Ollie Mae Davis and Joyce Twining. Brothers George Davis, James Davis and Larry Davis.

John leaves to cherish his memory.
His son Jeffery (Diane) Davis, Lora (Terry) Gilbert, Kimberly (Darren) Phillips, Diane(Gary)Wilson) and Kelly (Richard) Abbott.

He also leaves behind two stepdaughters Lydia and Melody Smith.

His grandchildren, John Eric Gilbert, Brett Davis, Joshua Hickerson, Lauren Burford, Caitlind Surratt, Kirsten Abbott, Jason Pritchett, Kristy Parnell, Mason Smith, Isabella Smith, Chace Owings, Natalie Taylor and Dalton Hoop.

He also leaves 18 great grandchildren.

He leaves behind his best friend whom he thought of as family and loved dearly, Liz Devine
