John Dudley Moore Sr., 78 of Southaven, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery South. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. John was a retired engineer for International Harvester, Operations Director for Mud Island, the Pyramid and the Cook Convention Center and a US Navy Veteran. He was a Deacon at Boulevard Baptist Church and a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He enjoyed Ole Miss Sports and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Gladys Moore; and a brother Alvis Moore. John leaves his wife of 56 years, Sue; his son John Dudley (Linda) Moore Jr., of Cordova; his daughter, Marilee (Eddy) Hawkins, of Southaven; two brothers, Dan Moore, of Wilmington, NC and Sidney Moore, of Greenville, OH; two sisters, Rebecca Jernigan, of Oxford, MS, and Dixie Woody, of Georgetown, TX; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
