John C. Franks, 75, of Memphis, TN passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Methodist Hospital South. Mr. Franks was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Southside High School and was a proud United States Marine Veteran, a member of the Marine Corps League and a life time member of the NRA. He worked before retiring as an air compressor mechanic and foreman. John was preceded in death by his parents: Willis C. and Mable Ellen Franks. He leaves two daughters: Andrea Burns of Jonesboro, AR and Susanne Scollan of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, James Franks of Memphis; also two grandchildren: Tiffany and Haiden Burns. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14th at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
