John D. Gentry, 81, of Memphis, died November 27, 2012. He was a Building Engineer of Merton Avenue Baptist Church and a member of Willow Oaks Church of God. Mr. Gentry was also a Mason, Past Grand Master of the Berclair Lodge and was a member of the Memphis Area Blue Grass Association. He is survived by his wife, Jean Gentry; children, Charles D. Gentry, Regina Wilson, Jeannie Gentry, Cathy Walls, Lonnie Gentry; two sisters, Catherine Mullen, Ruth Harris; 5 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 30 and service will be 10 a.m. Saturday December 1, 2012 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, with burial following.
