John Milton Gray, Sr, 92, of Brighton, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026. He was born on August 5, 1933, to the late S.O. and Mary Gray of Middleton, Tennessee.

He will be remembered as a man who loved God, his family and enjoyed gardening.

John is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Gray Guinn (David) of Brighton, Tennessee and son, John M. Gray, Jr. (Janet) of Collierville, Tennessee; sisters, Betty Rickman of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Jeanette Gainey of Alabama; grandchildren, Aaron Guinn (Danielle Marie Guinn), Jonathan Guinn (Danielle Guinn), Amanda Gray Furnas (Grant Furnas II), John M. Gray III (Moe Gray), Seth Thompson, Jeffery Gray, and John Jesse Thompson (Kathlynn Thompson); great-grandchildren, Logan Furnas, Maddie McGoldrick, Jackson Guinn, Noah McGoldrick, Bryson Furnas, Cash Guinn, Candace Grayce Furnas, Zane Guinn, Brinley Gray, Willow Kaye Thompson, Archer Guinn, and Madelyn Gray.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Juanice Jolley Gray, and his second wife, Peggy Gray; daughter Wanda Gray Thompson (Bruce) of Canton, Ohio; sister Doris Dollar.

John was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed dearly and will be in our hearts forever.
