JOHN A. HARRIS, 83, of Memphis, died January 31, 2012. He was a Navy veteran and an installer and repairman for 40 years with South Central Bell. Mr. Harris was born on November 27, 1928 to the late John and Zephel Harris. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Harris of Memphis, TN; two sons, John (Sherry) Harris of Knoxville, TN, David (Tracy) Harris of Brentwood, TN; three grandchildren, Braden Harris, Laura Harris, Sarah Harris; two sisters, Clarice Earp of Mountain Home, AR, Betty Sue (Dale) Jamison, Merrit Island, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 10 a.m., Friday, February 3 with family receiving friends an hour prior at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) or Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville, TN.
