John Ed Howell, 92, of Memphis/Southaven, died October 10, 2016. He was the husband of the late Marie Howell and is survived by children, Patricia Dye of Athens, AL and David Howell of Southaven, MS; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was retired from Illinois Central Railroad after 44 years of service and member of Audubon Park Baptist Church. Past master and former Secretary of Oakville Masonic Lodge #599. Member of Memphis Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shriners and Royal Arch. Held the honor of KCCH and was a 33rd Degree Mason. PWP of OES #43. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 11 with Masonic Rites to be performed in his honor at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 12 at 10: a.m. All will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park South. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
