Southaven - JOHN BEMIS "J.B." ALLEN JR., 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan Allen of Southaven, MS; his three children, Billy Allen (Diana) from Pangburn, AR, Pam Johnson (Pat), and Donna Wieronski (Gene), both from Southaven, MS and 6 grandchildren: Jennifer, Jaimie, Ashley, Matthew, Billy, and Justin. He also leaves behind two brothers, Elton Allen of Olive Branch, MS and Bobby Allen of Las Vegas, NV. He retired from the Shelby County Board of Education after 42 years. For the past 19 years he has served as a Marshall at Cherokee Valley Golf Club. He was a devoted member of LaBelle Haven Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Allen and Martha Clemmie Golden Allen. Visitation will be at 12 noon, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church located at 6825 E. Holmes Rd., Memphis, TN 38141 with burial following at Forest Hill South. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to LaBelle Haven Baptist Church Building Fund.
