John W. Johnston, Jr., 92, passed away September 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude and is survived by his son J. Waller Johnston, lll (Robin), daughter Susan Harper, 5 grandchildren: John Johnston, IV, Martha Chavers (Ryan), Josh Harper, Holly Queck (Rick), Brandon Joyner and 7 great grandchildren, along with 2 siblings B. W. Johnston and Julie Crawford. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War ll and was the previous owner of Nurre Glass Co. He was a mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, a lifetime member of NRA and the Memphis Sports Shooting Association.
