John Franklin Leek, 85, died on September 1, 2017. John Leek was born December 20, 1931. He was one of nine siblings (Ray, Ann, Buelah Mae, Nancy, Bobby Joe, Edith, Charles, and June). The son of Charley and Blanche Leek, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and was retired from Commercial Carriers.

He loved building things, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a good and decent man who helped many in need. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Leek; sons Charlie Barrett and Chris Leek; grandchildren Carla Caroll, Beth Sterling, Zackery Leek, Brittany Leek, and great grandchildren Peyton Carroll, Richard (Bo) Carroll, Chandler Sterling, Sawyer Sterling, and Brooklyn Leek. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6th at Christ The King Catholic Church in Southaven, MS with funeral to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Southwoods Memorial Park on Hacks Cross Road.
