John William Logan, 92, passed away, Monday, February 27, 2024 at Church Street Manor in Ecru, MS. He was born October 7, 1931 to the late Thomas Logan and Bessie Harris Logan. He lived most of his life in Memphis, TN. He was a retired metal finisher in the manufacturing of orthopedic implants.

He touched many lives in his long and fruitful years. He was a man of faith who trusted in Christ as his savior and showed that by how he loved others. He rarely met a stranger and could often be found making and pouring coffee for friends at places where he was a regular. He was a faithful employee of Smith & Nephew Richards for many years. His greatest years were spent with his wife Lila where they teamed up to be the best grandparents and aunt and uncle to their beloved family.

His sons are blessed to have been loved unconditionally and learn the lessons of hard work, faithfulness, loyalty by simply watching his life every day.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila F. Logan; his parents; two sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by his sons, Keith Nance (Nancy) of Miles City, MT, Mike Arnwine of Bartlett, TN and Scott Arnwine (Kim) of Memphis, TN. A sister, Sara Richardson (Homer) of Ripley, MS . Grandchildren, Ashleigh Johnston (Johnny) of Bartlett, TN, Rachael Arnwine of Memphis, TN, Reagan Churchill (Jeremy) of Smyrna, GA, Logan Arnwine of Memphis, Alan Mullins (Danielle) and Lorrie Nance of Miles City, MT. Great grandchildren, Michael Johnston of Bartlett, TN and Katie, Abby, and Grayson Mullins of Miles City, MT.

We are most thankful for his friends and caregivers at Church Street Manor. Thank you for loving Papa.

Services will be at Forest Hill East on Friday, March 1. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm and graveside service will be at 2:00 pm.
