John Wayne McKenzie passed away on April 22 ^nd , 2018 around 9 PM in Hendersonville, TN.  He was born October 10, 1940 in Paris, TN. He is the son of John Milton and Mildred Doty McKenzie, brother to Ophelia McKenzie Sherrod and Faye McKenzie Henderson of Memphis, TN.  He married Marilyn Brown McKenzie of Amory, Mississippi after his service in the Army.  They had three children, John David McKenzie, Warren Bradley McKenzie, married Jamie Meeks and Melanie McKenzie Webster, married Scott Webster.  He enjoyed time with his brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Dorinda Miller (sister to Marilyn) from Amory, MS.  He was a loving and involved grandfather to 5 grandchildren, Blaine McKenzie, Callie Joyce McKenzie, Wilson Webster, Wyatt Webster, Wade Webster and great-granddaughter, Emersyn Raye Webster of Gallatin, TN.  He lived most of his life in Germantown, TN working for Honda.  He later moved and retired to Murfreesboro, TN.  He enjoyed coaching sports, loved playing golf, working in his yard and being a classic practical jokester.  Visitation for John will be Friday, April 27 ^th from 9-10 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00; both held at the Forrest Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery East in Memphis, TN.
