John M. Cox, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at his home in Memphis. Mr. Cox was an U.S. Army Veteran and he retired from Bemis Bag Company in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Henry and Violet Smith Cox; his wife, Mattie Belle Cox and son, John M. Cox, Jr. He leaves his daughter, Pamela Cox Sims of Atlanta, GA, his daughter in-law, Theresa Cox of Memphis; two grand-daughters: Tiffany Belle Sims of Atlanta and Heather M. Cox of Drummonds, TN; four great-grandchildren: Shelbi Wilson, Haley Cox and Allison Wilson all of Durmmonds, TN and Johnathan Eason of Atlanta. Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5th at Forest Hill Funeral Home, South 2545 East Holmes Road.
