John "Phillip" Smythe, 62, from Memphis passed away January 20, 2014 at Vanderbilt Hospital after a long battle with heart and health issues. He was a retired vice president of Lithograph Printing Company, former member at Southwind and the Wild Pigs motorcycle club. He was a member, sponsor, officer and actor in AA for over 6 years. He is survived by his wife Karin Smythe, daughter Cassandra Brooke Smythe, son Blake Smythe, stepson Brandon Herron, and brother Danny Smythe; also four grandchildren - Maria Valentine, McKenzie Smythe, Mickala Walters and Kale Smythe. A memorial service will be held on February 18, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home.
