John P. Stacks, Sr., 82, of Booneville, MS, Korean War Army veteran and graduate of Humes High School in Memphis, Class of 1951, died on Sunday, August 30, 2015. John was predeceased by his first wife of 42 years, Marjorie Paullus Stacks. He leaves his wife of 16 years, Barbara Stacks of Booneville; daughter, Vicky Stacks King (Brad) and son, Dr. John P. Stacks, Jr., both of Bartlett; granddaughters, Ashley King Williams, Nicole King Rollins, Dr. Nikki Stacks Hunter, Jamie Stacks Miller and 4 great grandchildren; also, step-children: Pam Mathis (Farrell) and Ron Wood and step-grandchildren: Ryan Wood and Brooklyn Wood. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, at 12:30 p.m. with service following at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery on Poplar Avenue. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Waypoint Baptist Church.
