John  Seymour Stewart, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, in Memphis, TN.  John was born February 15, 1940, in Pontotoc, MS.  He was retired from Plaint Maintenance Service Corp where he was employed, as he always put it, as "a glorified sales engineer".  He was a member of Still Waters Baptist Church.  He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

John was preceded in death by his parents, William Curtis Stewart and mother, Eddie B. Stewart, and a brother W. C. (Dub) Stewart.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Richey Stewart,  his daughter Angela Stewart Gilmore, granddaughter, Amber Nicole Gilmore, and one brother, Eddie Lee Stewart (Betty), and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Chapel East Tuesday, April 13 at 2:00 PM, visitation from 12:30 - 2:00 PM. Burial at Forest Hill East  Cemetery.
