John B. Tate, 86, of Memphis, TN, passed away on January 24, 2017. He was born on March 21, 1930 in Sequatchie, Tennessee to the late Bruce and Irene Tate. Mr. Tate was retired from the CSX Railroad and was an Army Veteran. He was a Christian man and a loving son, husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. Mr. Tate is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma; children, Karen Suggs, John (Teresa) Tate, James (Tina) Tate; ten grandchildren, John, Miranda, Johnna, Bethany, Bentley, Blake, Brandon, Haley, Stephanie, Clinton; and nine great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ashtyn, Grant, Tate, Stormy, Coby, Riley, Tryannie, and Shaveze. The family request, in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Graveside services date and time have not been set as yet.
