John I. Wolfe, 81, of Rossville, TN passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Trinity Hospice House. He leaves behind his faithful wife of 58 years, Laverne Wolfe; 2 daughters, Gail Ellis and Regina Owen (Rodney); 2 sisters, Mary Steward and Elizabeth Tutor (Jack), both of MS. He was blessed to have 4 granddaughters; Colby Crim (Kris); Lydia Reed (Brian); Bethany Yancey and Brecken Ellis; 4 step grandchildren, Emily Hutchens (Ricky); Samatha Kimbrow (Josh); Kelsey Smith (Austin); Luke Owen (Jennifer). He was privileged to have 2 great grandsons and 9 step great grandchildren. John was born in Tallahatchie County, MS and lived for 52 years in Memphis before moving to Rossville. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for 21 years driving a bus for MATA, and then retired after 21 years from Aircraft Services Intl. He was a longtime member of the Normal Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Sunday with services at 2 pm, Monday, both at Forest Hill Funeral Home-South.
