Johnathan David Hammons passed away leaving behind a family who deeply loved him. He served honorably in the United States Navy, specializing in FA-18 maintenance, a role that reflected his technical skill and sense of duty. After his military service, he continued his work as lead mechanic at US Foods. 

David is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy of Memphis, Tennessee. 

His is survived by his mother, Doris Cooper of Memphis, Tennessee, sons, Joshua and Justin of Horn Lake, Mississippi, his sister Kimberly Laubach of Senatobia, Mississippi and his uncle Larry Clark of Memphis, Tennessee. He also shared a loving companionship with Becky (Rebecca) Collier of Horn Lake, Mississippi. 

Johnathan enjoyed flying, shooting pool, trail riding, and spending time with his friends; simple moments that brought him joy throughout his life. He will be remembered as a dedicated father and son who will be greatly missed.
