Johnny Q. Beaty, 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

Johnny was a great man, husband, and father as well as a man of service. He allowed God to lead his life, which showed in the many roles that he lead. Johnny served as Deacon at Gracewood Baptist Church as well as serving our country in The United States Army. He loved his truck, sitting outside, fishing, and woodwork. He also loved to watch basketball, Memphis Tigers and The Grizzlies in particular. But he loved nothing more than his family, grands, and great greatchildren.

Johnny was preceaded in death by his wife of 49 years, Clauidie Odell Beaty; six sisters, Hermie, Marie, Jean, Shirley, Linda and Brenda; two brothers, Gerald and Bobby; as well as his parents, Johnny A. Beaty and Virginia L. Beaty.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelly (James) Columbia; one son, Glen (Vanessa) Beaty; two grandchildren, Shelby (Bryan) Shook, Stuart Columbia; and two great grandchildren, Ava Jean Shook and Amos James Shook.
