Joseph J.C. Hungerford, Sr., 87, of Memphis, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018.  Joseph grew up in Jonestown, MS.  As a boy, he worked for Hungerford Lumber Yard in Jonestown.  After moving to Memphis he worked for Hungerford Furniture, maker of solid mahogany and other fine woods.  He also worked as a diesel mechanic and retired as an over-the-road truck driver after driving three million miles.  He was an US Army Veteran.  Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Hungerford, Jr.  He leaves his wife of 62 years, Patsey Ann Hungerford; two daughters, Debra Lloyd and Lisa Walker (Chuck); two grandsons, Nathan and Hayden Walker; also many other beloved family and friends. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Wednesday, September 19 at Forest Hill East with service on Thursday at 2pm. Burial will be in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
