Joseph William Orman of Bartlett, TN born October 22, 1935, aged 86, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Peggy Orman of Bartlett, TN; one daughter, Teresa Cleveland (Stan) of Olive Branch, MS; one son, Eric Orman (Haylee) of Brighton, TN; one brother, Bob Orman (Joyce) of Fulton, MO; grandchildren, Greg, Jason, Corey (Milena), April (Jansin), Zach and McKenzie; and four great grandchildren, Tinley, Rhetley, Alina and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Orman and Hilda Webb.

Joe was a loving husband, dad, papaw, uncle and caring friend. He retired from Layne and Bowler in 1994 after 35 years of service as a machinist and inspector, and was a member of the International Association of Machinists Union and a Marine Veteran. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, TN. Joe was also a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he served as an usher and enjoyed greeting people as they entered the sanctuary.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 2:00p.m.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill East Cemetery 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133.
