JOSEPH D. POWELL, 79, of Germantown, TN, went to be with the Lord, December 8, 2012. He retired from Memphis Light Gas & Water and FedEx. Mr. Powell was a Navy veteran, a member of Germantown United Methodist Church and an avid golfer. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Powell; daughter, Debra Donaldson; son, Joseph H. Powell; sister, Hilda Mae Weaver; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service begins at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12 at Germantown United Methodist Church. Interment will be private at Forest Hill East Cemetery.
