Joy Norton, 87 of Memphis, passed away June 23, 2022.

Joy is survived by her sister, Maxine Thornton; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, a few became special caregivers for her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Norton; her parents, James and Nerva Parrish; three sisters, Marjorie Jones, Sue Owen, and Jean May; and her brother, James "Buddy" Parrish.

Joy was a member of Speedway Baptist Church and later a member of Community Bible Church. She was employed with Memphis Fence Company for 33 years. She enjoyed watching golf, word searches, and playing cards at family gatherings. She had a special relationship with the many animals she had throughout her life.
