Joyce Peggy Powers age 88, passed away on April 29, 2018 in Crossville, TN.  She was born on May 8, 1929 in Rutherford, TN to the late Jesse and Nola Whitworth.  She is preceded in death by her husband James Robert Powers; sister Brownie Mae Whitley (Wilson); and brother Carl Ray Whitworth.  She is survived by her sister Sarah Patterson; son Gary Gaston (Debbie); daughter Debbie Flippin; grandchildren Michelle Gaston, Christine Gaston, Alison Morris (Robert), Diedra Johnson (Jarred), Lindsay Campbell (Brian); great-grandchildren Wyatt Morris, Owen Morris, Emmett Morris, Luke Morris, and Jordan Johnson.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, her hummingbirds, and listening to Adrian Rodgers.  She will be greatly missed.
