Joyce Gammon Robbins, 85, was born on October 30, 1935 and passed away on January 25,
2021. She is preceded in death by her husband James L. Robbins, her son Ricky M. Robbins,
and her three brothers, Thelbert, James, and William.
She is survived by her daughter Sheryl Turner (Jere), daughter-in-law Penny Robbins (Rick),
granddaughters April (Chris), Carla (James), and Monica (Jamie,) and grandson Michael
(Brittany.) She also had 8 great-grandchildren, including two sets of twins, which she always
wanted.
Joyce, or G-mom as the grandchildren called her, was a rock for her family her whole life. She
worked at Sealy Mattress Company for many years, but her favorite roles were devoted wife
and beloved mother and grandmother. She loved the most important things in life: a house full
of family, a bite to eat, prayer, and church on Sunday.
Graveside services will be held at Forest Hills South on Friday, February 12 at 10 AM.
