Obituary

Joyce A Tapp Ash was born November 25, 1927. She lived all her life in the Memphis area. In 1942 she married Thurman H Tapp and they had four children Jim, Linda, Mickey, and Bill. About twelve years after Horace died she remarried to Oscar Tilden Ash. She enjoyed riding horses, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, and she had a love for animals especially her goats and dogs. She was always up for a new adventure. She was mainly a housewife but also had many other jobs. When her health began to decline she moved to The Arbors of Olive Branch MS.
Those proceeding her in death are both husbands Horace and Tilden, son Jim, her parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
Those left to mourn her are daughter Linda Anderson Williams of Iowa, sons Michael Tapp (Peggy) of Olive Branch MS and William Bill Tapp of Ripley MS, stepsons Jimmy Ash of Waterford MS, Donnal Ash (Opha) of Potts Camp MS, and Kenneth Ash (Coralee) of Oxford MS. Her 12 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 3 step-great great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and many nieces and nephews. The family requests any donations in lieu of flowers be made in her honor to Chewalla Primative Baptist Church, Potts Camp, MS.
Services will be September 15, 2018 at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown 9 am visitation and 10 am funeral service and burial will follow her service at Forest Hill Memorial Park South.
