J.R. Handcook, 92, passed away on January 22, 2025. He was born on  March 6, 1932 in Tallahatchie, MS to the late Viola Gertrude Cook.

Mr. Handcook was a U.S. Army Veteran. He  served from 11/18/1952 and  was discharged after being wounded in the Korean War on 9/11/1954
and was  awarded a bronze star and purple heart for his service. He was a contractor by trade.

J.R. is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Rita Ramona Handcook.

He leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and also his beloved dog, Suzie.
