Juanita P. Bumpous, 85 of Lake Cormorant, Ms. passed peacefully on Tuesday August 19, 2025. She was at her home surrounded by family.

She was predeceased by her parents Buford and Juanita Austin Pearson, her kindred soul, Henry Deaton Bumpous and their sons Deaton LaRue Bumpous and Michael Clint Bumpous.

She is survived by her sons Monty Wayne Bumpous, Mickey L. Bumpous (Karol Bumpous) and Davy Joe Bumpous (Shelbie Bumpous) and daughters Juanita Lorraine Cox and April Mechelle Williams (Ranny Williams Jr), 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-grand angel babies.

Nita, as she was affectionately known, was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who always put family first. She was a valued retiree of Cardwell Container, Germantown Tn. Much of her time after retirement was spent enjoying a good book or watching westerns. She could sit for hours putting puzzles together or just chatting on the phone with family. She loved to love on people. There was no one more witty and full of life. As sweet as she could be, her stubbornness was unmatched. She was an incredible matriarch. We will cherish her memory and the lessons she taught us about hard work, perseverance and the importance of family. Her passing will leave a void in the hearts of many friends and family.
