Juanita Marie Carpenter, 83, of Memphis, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Dove Health & Rehab in Collierville. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Hill South with visitation from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Mrs. Carpenter retired from J.C. Penny''s retail sales. She is a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. Mrs. Carpenter is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles O. Carpenter. She leaves three daughters: Janice Prince, Martha Gunter (Rob) and Joy Walker (Steve); two sisters, Carolyn Kurts and Charlotte Leach; one brother, Paul Hamby; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
