In Loving Memory of Juanita K. Young

Nita Kelly Young was a serving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Nita was born in Memphis, TN on South Main St. on September 7, 1935. She dedicated her life to her family and a life of service and sacrifice, always answering the Lord's question, with "Yes, Lord."

She was a self-taught transportation coordinator for Luby Leasing, Memphis White Leasing, Nabors Truck and Trailer, Barnhart Crane and Rigging, and retired from Acuff Crane and Rigging.

On August 29, 2023, the matriarch of our family for 87 years, entered eternal life with her Savior, Jesus Christ, led by the Blessed Mother, Mary, and left this world suddenly and peacefully at home in Hernando, MS on August 29, 2023.

Nita is survived by her two daughters, Mary Lynne (Lee) Burks, and Leigh Anne (Pat) Barker of Hernando, and Michael Six of Horn Lake, MS. Nita was a loving sister to her brother Paul Kelly (PK) of Arlington, TN, her sisters, Agnes (George) Case, of Larchmont, NY, and Cecelia, DeWolfe (Mont) of Daytona Beach, FL. Her unconditional love for her grandchildren shines in each one of them, Brittany (Brett) Stevens of Guam, US, Andrew Young of Hernando, MS, Alexandria Six of Germantown, TN, Aaron Six of Hernando, MS, Chelsea (Tyler) White of Hernando, MS, Clint (Leslie) Burks of Coldwater, MS. She was blessed by God to see her great-grandchildren, Brayden Stevens, Kinleigh and Maddie Claire White and Scout Burks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Richard Kelly, brothers Richard Jr., Roy, Lawrence, and Abe Kelly, and her sisters, Margaret (Udell) Burgin, Dorothy (Oscar) Parra, and Mary (Bob) Ogilvie. Her army of nieces and nephews speak fondly when reminiscing about the wonderful memories and fun times spent together as a family.

The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate service and outpouring of support from Home Health nurse, Sarah, and staff, along with Baptist Home Care and Hospice and her nurse, Joy.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church., 545 E Commerce St, Hernando, MS 38632.
