Judith “Judy” Kay Carter, 79, of Cordova, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 30, 2026. She was a beloved wife, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished nothing more than hosting family gatherings in her home.
Judy was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, to Alfred and Francis Rollins. She attended Marked Tree High School, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Jerry Carter. After many dedicated years of service, Judy retired from Kroger in Cordova.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Anita Kay Rainwater; and her two brothers, Steve Jackson and George Rollins.
Judy leaves behind her loving husband, Jerry Carter; two sons, Jerry L. Carter (Mary Anne) of Dublin, Ireland, and Stephen Carter (Elke) of Noel, Missouri; four grandchildren, Dustin Carter of Millington, Tennessee, Clifton Rainwater and Austin Rainwater of Southaven, Mississippi, and Jessica Dash (Colton) of Millington, Tennessee; her sister, Julia Rollins of Bryant, Arkansas; her brother, Tim Rollins of Arkansas; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 4 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marked Tree, AR with service immediately following.
A private Burial will be in Marked Tree Cemetery.
