Julia Ann Jones, 97, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. Julia had lived in Memphis since 1961 prior to moving to Florida in 1995. She was born in Calhoun City, MS to the late Robert Truman and Victoria Barton. While living in Memphis she was a member of Parkway Village Baptist Church. Her husband, Theo P. Jones preceded her in death; also two sisters and three brothers. Julia leaves her daughter, Judy Jones (George Bernhard) of Jacksonville, FL and son, Donald E. Jones ( Karan ) of Tyro, MS; two grandsons, Donnie Jones of Strayhorn, MS and Charles Jones of Tyro, MS. The family requests that memorials are made to the donor's choice. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1pm Wednesday, August 29 at Forest Hill Midtown: 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd. Memphis 38106. Graveside service will be 1:30 pm at Forest Hill South: 2545 E. Holmes Rd., Memphis 38118.
