Julia Lester, 91 of Cordova, passed away February 3, 2023.

She was a retiree of the Memphis Police Department after 34 years of service. She held the titles of Detective, Lieutenant, and Captain during her career.

Julia is survived by her daughter, Norma Julie Barrow (Noel); son, Klaytin "Klay" Areaux Lester; and sisters, Laura O. House and Dorothy L. Lusk (Joe) of Huntsville, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace Lester, Sr.; and one son, James "Jim" Wallace Lester, Jr.
